What is MacroPhotos.NET?
Cavemen used tools to carve images into rocks, cybermen use tools to carve images onto monitor screens. Thanks to Flickr's API, web developers can write applications to expand and interact with photos posted on Flickr. This site provides several handy scripts and widgets that can make your photo sharing more secure and more fun. To start, I created a simple photo browser and when you view your own photos, you can watermark them. Additionally, you can add a graphic widget with stats (about your photos, sets, contacts) into your profile.Photo Watermark
If your photos have been stolen, displayed on some website claiming that they own the photo, or you worry about photo theft, I created a little program that can automatically add a line of text (your copyright notice, credit, date, whatever you like) into your photo. You can preview the watermarked photo and download to your computer, upload as a new photo into your photostream, or replace the existing photo on Flickr with this updated version.
My Flickr Photos
This is a quick and simple interface to access your photos to you can watermark them quickly. When you click on it for the first time, you will need to sign into Flickr and authorize MacroPhotos.NET to access your private photos and allow it to upload/replace existing photos. To protect your privacy, the system only accesses, adds watermark, then reuploads to your Flickr account. Your photos are not stored on this server.
Profile Widget
This tool generates an image showing off your latest photos and also your account stats (total number of photos, contacts, sets, etc.) It will generate a small piece of HTML code that you only need to copy and paste into your Flickr profile or any other webpage. Sample:
